Airport Terminal Services (ATS) is pleased to announce the purchase of the BAS Group of companies known as Bulmer Aircraft Services, Hunter Management Systems and BAS Moncton Flight Kitchen (BAS). BAS is a long established leader in aviation services in the Atlantic provinces of Canada.
The transaction is a strategic development of ATS across Canada, now reaching from the Pacific to the Atlantic in 13 Canadian airports.
Operating in 3 airports in the Maritimes and 1 in Quebec, BAS offers a full suite of services to its customers, including passenger services, cabin cleaning, ramp handling, de-icing, cargo, flight kitchen/commissary and a Shell aviation fuel dealership. BAS headquarters are at the Moncton (YQM) base.
Having well established relationships among its loyal customer base, some spanning 20 years, the current BAS management team led by Brett Murphy will continue to deliver service enhanced by the ATS operation and safety management system.
Commenting on the transaction, Sally Leible, ATS President and Chief Operating Officer, said: “ATS entered the Canadian market a decade ago. The addition of the BAS business to our portfolio confirms our commitment to strategically expand into a national network provider of quality ground handling across Canada.”
ATS (Airport Terminal Services, Inc.) was formed in 1975 and currently serves 34 airports in the United States and Canada with nearly 2,000 employees. ATS offers ramp handling, passenger service, cargo handling, aircraft fuel service and cabin cleaning services to the aviation community.
